Wyoming Representative, Christopher Knapp, sworn in to House District 53
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Representative elect, Christopher Knapp, was sworn in as the new House District 53 appointee, which took place in the state capitol. Chief Justice Michael K. Davis of the Wyoming Supreme Court administered the oath of office.
“I know that Wyoming faces many challenges, and I’m looking forward to addressing those and being a part of the solution,” Knapp said.
Prior to Knapp served as a Campbell County commissioner from 2001-2012 before becoming a candidate in 2014, losing the race to the late Roy Edwards, who passed away November 2, 2020.
“Roy was somebody that definitely had core principles,” Knapp said. “A conservative individual, but very happily getting along with everyone.”
Knapp says he is going to focus on Wyoming’s future with revenues, and believes the state has a bright future with blended energy, coal, wind, and natural gas.
“I believe that we can re-market ourselves to the other states and become an energy producer for many, many years to come.”
