Make-A-Wish Wyoming hopes for generous Giving Tuesday
Make-A-Wish Wyoming is looking to raise funds to continue to make wishes come true on Giving Tuesday.
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Make-A-Wish Wyoming was founded in 1985 by four Casper residents that wanted to deliver a Huffy BMX Racing Bike for a child suffering from a brain tumor. They are celebrating 35 years of delivering wishes for children across the state of Wyoming.
This year, they were unable to host their in person fundraiser, so they are working hard to raise as much money as they can. They are currently asking for donations through their Facebook page. The board of directors has said that they will match each donation made on Giving Tuesday up to $13,000.
Morgan Poloncic, CEO of Make-A-Wish Wyoming, said they are currently working on 53 wishes from across the state.
“Each of those wishes are only possible because of supporters who believe so deeply in our mission,” said Poloncic. “I think Giving Tuesday is a unique opportunity for someone to not only help grant a wish, but really to have their donation doubled through the match.”
