The city of elderly Love

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - In 2020, the Holidays have looked different from what everyone is accustom to. During these times, big family gatherings are prohibited and virtual calls are used more and more for people to communicate these days. However, then there is a generation of people that may not be as technology savvy, and oh by the way their loved ones cannot come visit them?
To show the folks who are impacted severely by whats happening during this global pandemic, a third grade teacher alongside her students and their families sing Christmas carols for residents in an assisted living home.
The teacher Christie Bronder says under normal circumstances, she and her kids would come and play board games but had to become pen pals and build bonds with residents in assisted living that way.
“It’s good all around, for the children to be able to make contact with and adult, and then the elders making a connection with the children, which is bringing a lot of joy to the children’s hearts as well as the elders.”
