CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Casper-Natrona County Health Department originally used the “Casper vs. Covid” campaign to rally the city around the idea that it takes everyone to stop COVID-19. Now, they are using the website to allow people to schedule free COVID-19 tests.

People that are experiencing symptoms are able to register for a free COVID-19 test on their own time, and they will be given an allotted time to visit a testing location. The hope is that this will allow the health department to be able to reduce the number of phone calls that they receive and be able to work smarter.

“The COVID tests that we provide for free really are for those individuals that are sick, symptomatic, or have been in contact. These are state sponsored tests, so we really wanna make sure that we’re testing the right people,” said Casper-Natrona County Health Department Executive Director Anna Kinder.

Kinder also says that there are plans for people to be able to complete some components of contact tracing on the website in the near future.
