CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Happening in Cheyenne, power-lifters are back in the weight room in the Capital City. Season in and season out Wyoming and Colorado rival in different sports also known as the Border War. The Cowboys and Rams, Border war has already taken place in 2020. The Wyoming State WRPF Power-lifting Federation just renewed the rivalry minus the bronze boot.

“I know most of these Colorado people because I usually have to go down there to compete, so it’s neat to have them up here.”

“That’s one of the reasons why we wanted to start here in Wyoming there’s usually 1 or two meets a year from different federations and being able to hold our own meets to get more experience for lifters was one of the driving factors to start moving around Wyoming.”

Tristin Williams, says she and her fellow lifters get under the weights for the love of the pump, and setting personal records  vs Colorado lifters makes it worthwhile.

“We don’t get paid to do this, so it’s awesome to do what we love and we do it safely as everyone has a mask on. My goal is to get a thousand pounds before I turn 40 and that’s next year so that’s what I’m going for tonight.”
