CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The St. Mary’s Cathedral Youth Ministry is hosting “Frozen Turkey Bowling” for the first time. All local kids from seventh grade to 12th grade, and their families are invited to participate in the event on Saturday.

The name of the event is not a figure of speech though, those attending will be rolling frozen turkeys into actual bowling pins. The turkeys were purchased by Troy Thompson and Two Bar Bowl is where the pins will come from.

The entry fee for kids wanting to participate is a non-perishable item. Those and a dozen frozen turkeys will be donated to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry following the event.

“The reason we’re doing that is so we educate our youth about the importance of giving to those less fortunate,” said Youth Minister, Damion Aldana.

The event is from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 21. For more information and how to sign up, you can head to the events website here.
