Casper homeless shelter packs Thanksgiving meals
Wyoming Rescue Mission wants to feed as many people as they can this holiday season.
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Rescue Mission recognizes some people need more help during the holidays. This year is no different, especially with coronavirus pandemic and the economic impact it has had.
Wyoming Rescue Mission thinks of themselves as a family, and they want to feed as many people as they can.
They packed 150 complete Thanksgiving meals that will feed a family of four on Monday morning. The meals were packed with all of the Thanksgiving classics like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and all the other fixings.
“We have lots to be grateful for as a mission itself... it’s just important to us that we can do this for people who maybe can’t,” said Wyoming Rescue Mission Marketing and Events Manager Jenny Stedillie.
The bags will be delivered during Thanksgiving week by members of Wyoming Rescue Mission’s discipleship program to families in need around the city.
Wyoming Rescue Mission is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit serving Natrona County and Wyoming. To learn more about them and their mission, visit their website here.
