Joshua’s Storehouse starts annual Christmas tree fundraiser
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The lobby at the Clarion Inn is ready for the holiday season. There are a handful of Christmas trees available for the community to bid on and all of the proceeds go to Joshua’s Storehouse.
The sales manager at the Clarion Inn said it’s great to partner with nonprofits in the community helping others. They are also putting trees in other Casper businesses like Racca’s and Backwards Distilling Company.
Kim Perez, the CEO of Joshua’s Storehouse, said they do theme trees. "Ones such as Wyoming or your favorite team, Perez said.
These trees are sold to the highest bidder and delivered to them the day after Thanksgiving. She said they had a great turnout last year, and their goal this year is to triple that amount.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, this year has been difficult for this nonprofit. They want the community to know they want to be the number one resource for those in need.
“I think sometimes people forget we are not just a food pantry. We offer many services too,” Perez said.
Community members have until black Friday to bid on the trees.
