Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and Military Affairs Committee to host luncheon regarding Wyoming Cowboy Challenge Academy
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce along with the Military Affairs Committee (MAC) will host their monthly luncheon to talk about the Wyoming Cowboy Challenge Academy. Deputy director of the MAC, David Salazar will be the guest speaker.
The challenge academy is a program that looks to help non-traditional learners ages 16-18 to develop and improve their education and employment potential through a professional learning environment. They will learn eight key components of life which is: academic excellence, life coping skills, job skills, health and hygiene, responsible citizenship, services to the community, leadership/follower-ship, and physical fitness.
“They’re learning how to become all-around great citizens of our state of Wyoming in a learning environment that’s a little more structured for their life,” Director of Partner Services for the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Rhianna Brand said.
