Casper 5-year old’s wish comes true with help from Make-A-Wish Wyoming
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Kyle Apland is a 5-year old young man that has had to deal with many ups and downs in his life. He’s dealt with living in a hospital room with his mom for months at a time, internal bleeding, chronic pancreatitis and more ailments, and now, he’s battling leukemia.
Make-A-Wish Wyoming connected with Apland and his family after his leukemia diagnosis, and his initial wish was to meet the Kratt Brothers, who are nature show hosts. The coronavirus pandemic prevented that from happening in person, so his wish became something that could he keep.
On Halloween, Make-A-Wish Wyoming delivered a backyard playset that Kyle and his family could enjoy together. Kyle said the he loves the playset, and his favorite thing is the slide.
“I think the best part was watching it being put up, and the moment it was done both my kids stayed outside until it was too cold to play anymore,” said Jesse Apland, Kyle’s mom.
