A Casper private school suspends in-person classes through Thanksgiving break
St. Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School will teach remotely through at least Nov. 30th
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After having six confirmed positive COVID-19 tests in the school, St. Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School has made the decision to teach students remotely. The school hopes to resume in person instruction after Thanksgiving break on November 30th.
St. Anthony is a private school that serves students from preschool through 8th grade.
Jansen Curry, the public relations coordinator for St. Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School, said that it was not an easy decision for the school to make, and they understand that it may make things difficult for some families.
“A big part of the decision to go remote has to do with the idea that we really want SAS families to be able to celebrate Christmas together if possible, and if we can slow the spread in our immediate community now, that means for happier holidays,” said Curry.
Curry applauded the school’s resources and training as reasons that they would be successful educating remotely.
