CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Rotary Club of Cheyenne) - Rotary is providing a book for every second grader in Laramie County schools this fall.
The Andy & Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure is a children’s book with activities to help build character using a fun story. Just ask yourself, “Of the things you think, say or do: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?” The Four-Way Test is that easy! It is a tool for children and adults alike to help each person do what’s right in a challenging world.
Students should be coming home from school with this book in November if they haven’t already. If you know a second grade student, please talk with him or her about applying the Four-Way Test as a way to decide the right thing to do. Rotary Club of Cheyenne is providing these books as part of our support of literacy and ethics in our communities.
The Andy & Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure story, and the Four-Way Test, are provided to enhance each school’s character development programs. We are proud to provide these in conjunction with Cheyenne After-Hours Rotary Club. Rotary has provided story and activity books for every student, plus copies of the book for school classrooms and libraries, in LCSD1, LCSD2, and private schools.
