CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - This Friday, Wyoming News Now’s Friday Night Frenzy Game of the Week is between #4 Central (6-2) and Laramie (2-6).

For the Indians, it’s been tough sledding of late, with three down weeks in a row after an ugly win versus Campbell County and losses to East and Rock Springs.

“Every week’s a learning week and they learned that three weeks ago that every team’s ready for you and then the second game the reality of it is we lost a couple players early and we never recovered from it and we gotta be able to do that, it’s part of the game," Central Head Coach Mike Apodaca said.

Laramie knows about the Tribe’s struggles but is taking Central’s recent downturn with a grain of salt.

“Central’s coming off a little bit of a cold spell kind of so they’re gonna be coming here Friday ready to put the hurt on us. So we’re just getting ready, we’re focusing up, a lot of energy so it should be exciting,” Laramie Senior Isaac Sell.

In order to get out of the team’s slump Central is preaching effort.

“Just keeping each other accountable especially at times like these. Especially with a team that has a lot of seniors, this is kind of our last go-run and you know getting people to just care,” Central Senior Brock Storebo said. “It’s easy to care when you’re winning but when things go south, that’s kind of hard, you kind of want to give up. I think our group is mature and you know through injuries I think we’re still fighting.”

Kickoff from Laramie is set for 6 p.m.

Tune in at 10 p.m. for highlights from this Friday Night Frenzy Game of the Week.
