LCCC men’s soccer returns to action with a strong scrimmage showing against Real Colorado
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After having to quarantine for two weeks, the Laramie County Community College (LCCC) men’s soccer team returned to action, hosting tough competition in Real Colorado for a scrimmage. The Golden Eagles showed little to no rust as they won the scrimmage, 1-0.
“I feel like we did pretty great for being quarantine for two weeks and honestly we’re just very excited to be out here again,” LCCC sophomore midfielder, Jose Vargas said.
The result boosted LCCC’s confidence heading into competition, as Real Colorado reportedly has Division 1 talent on their team.
“I think we just have a championship mindset in the fact that we want to win,” LCCC sophomore goalkeeper, Declan Domyan said. “We don’t care who we play, we know we want to win, and we believe we can win against anyone.”
The Golden Eagles next scrimmage is scheduled for Friday, October 30 at home against Casper Community College, and Otero Junior College. The Casper matchup start time is 11:00am MDT, Otero is 3:00pm MDT.
