Central’s girls XC wins 4A East Regional title

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Cheyenne Central’s girls cross country team took home the 4A East regional title, finishing with 37 points. Sydney Morrell of Central won the individual girls 5k by over 10 seconds, clocking in at 20:03.46.

1. S. Morrell (Cen)- 20:03.46

2. K. Turpin (Sher)- 20:15.96

3. E. Hofmeister (Cen)- 20:34.00

4. M. Trujillo (East)- 20:36.78

5. A. Newton (Sher)- 20:53.15.

For the boys, it was Sheridan who ran away with the regional title, scoring 22 points. Sheridan’s Austin Akers also won the 5k by over 10 seconds, with a time of 17:17.18.

3. R. Charest (Sher)- 17.48.52

4. C. Rogers (Cen)- 17.49.84

5. B. Kivisto (Cen)- 17:51.46.
