Cheerleaders Mum’s go big or go home
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Its Homecoming week and the traditional week of school spirit took a change in 2020.
A group of cheerleader Mom’s wanted to salute their girls by what they claim is going big or go home.
“We know this is the last year we’ll be doing this, so we went all out to do what we can for them, and we made them a little larger than we have in the past,” Cheer Mom, Valerie Roybal said.
The homecoming “mum” began as a token of affection given to a girl by her date in honor of the high school homecoming football game and surrounding events.Well, Central Indians Cheerleader Captain says the Cheer Moms have built the decorated MUM’s for 4 years straight.
“The Mum’s are really special. I’ve had one since freshman year and they keep getting bigger. She basically told me either we go big or we go home. Because of me being in my senior year and me being captain it really meant a lot to me that she put so much effort into my Mum,” Central Indians Cheerleader, Amber Roybal said.
Due to COVID restrictions, the traditional week of events and the homecoming dance have been cancelled.
