CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - This is the first Friday in three weeks that there is no crosstown rivalry in Cheyenne.

East and Central both sit at (6-1) after last week’s 41-18 T-Birds win over the Indians.

Both teams have put last week behind them and are now focusing on this week’s opponents.

East faces Kelly Walsh (3-4) who is coming off loses to Sheridan and Thunder Basin.

“[Kelly Walsh has] a sound defense, they bring blitzes off the edge,” East Senior Graedyn Buell said. "They have some good coverages that they run. But, if we play our style of football we should be fine. "

Central faces Rock Springs (4-3) who is on a three game win streak.

The Indians have had back-to-back down weeks, playing poorly versus Campbell County and losing to East. They now look to right the ship versus the Tigers.

“Heading into this game, I think we have good vibes. I think we got over this hangover from Saturday and I think we’re ready to go,” Central Senior Jasen Shaffer said.

On the Southside, South is still winless at (0-7) and faces a struggling opponent in Laramie (1-6).

Last season, the Bison’s lone victory came versus the Plainsmen.

“You can tell this week with practice, we’ve just been super focused and especially with film and the weather and we’re just doing everything we possibly can to come out and win," South Senior Kobe Barto said.

Below are the kickoff times for the three games:

Rock Springs @ Central 6 p.m.

Kelly Walsh @ East 7 p.m.

South @ Laramie 6 p.m.
