Independent Presidential Candidate wants to help unite Americans
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Brock Pierce, the independent presidential candidate said he visited Casper this week. He spoke with a Wyoming News Now reporter about what he wants to change if elected.
Pierce said the two-party system is dividing Americans and wants people to vote for whoever they feel is right without the stigma of throwing away a vote.
“You are not throwing away a vote doing what you believe to be right. That’s what’s gotten us into this mess and we are going to stay in this perpetual cycle until we start standing for things we believe in,” Pierce said.
He added that getting elected president is possible but not super likely. His goal is to unite Americans and focus on issues like the American dollar, the national debt and different ways to measure the country’s success.
“What if we started to measure success by our happiness. This happening in other countries and I think it’s time we take a step back and reevaluate the way to measure our success as a nation and how we hold our government accountable,” Pierce said.
He added he will be back in Wyoming for the Independent National Convention on Oct. 23 and 24 in Cheyenne. He predicts it will be bigger than the DNC and RNC combined.
