LARAMIE, Wyo. (PRESS RELEASE) - The local Elks Lodge, No. 582 made a $3,500 donation to the Downtown Clinic to assist with the vaccination program.

Pete Gosar, Director of the Downtown Clinic said, “thanks to the kindness and generosity of the Elks Lodge 582 and the Elks National Foundation the vital vaccination program will be able to move forward. The vaccination program is vital during the pandemic to help keep all in need of help in community as healthy as possible.” “Donations to the Downtown Clinic return $15 for every dollar donated.” Added Gosar.

The local Elks Lodge was able to make this donation through a grant from the Elks National Foundation - Community Investments Program – 2021 Beacon Grant. This years' Beacon Grant was adapted in response to COVID-19 encouraging lodges to apply for donations to food pantries and other organizations in the community that are better equipped to directly serve the populations in need as we work our way through this pandemic. Lodge 582 Exalted Ruler Thyra Page said, “the Downton Clinic vaccination program was such a perfect fit for this Grant. Their programs and services are so valuable to our community. We are pleased to be able to provide this additional support to our community.”
