Hogadon set to open for the season; COVID-19 restrictions in place
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Hogadon Basin Ski area is ready for snow, skiers and snowboarders. Their goal is to stay open all season. They need to have restrictions in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Ryan Butler, a City of Casper Recreation employee, said one of them is having people social distance while waiting to get on the lift.
“We ask customers to practice tip to tail so the tip of your skis is to the tail of the guest in front of you,” Butler said.
They are also limiting the number of people in the lodge.
“We are still finalizing numbers that might average around 100 people give or take,” Butler said.
They also suggest staying at the lodge to supervise children enjoying the resort and having a warm vehicle to sit in if the lodge gets too full.
They are also having single riders ride the lift by themselves and encouraging people who came together to ride the lift together.
This season might look a little different, but it’s exciting it’s happening.
“We are always excited for winter and we feel people are ready to get outdoors and get out since everything was shut down for so long,” Butler said.
Pre-season passes are $300 through Dec. 1.
