Pokes in the Pros shine in week 3 of the NFL
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Week 3 of the NFL appeared to be a special one for former Wyoming Cowboys, as they made noise around the league.
For the Buffalo Bills, quarterback Josh Allen led his team to beat the Los Angeles Rams, 35-32. He threw 24-33, 311 yards, four touchdowns, one interception, four carries, eight yards, one touchdown. Allen threw his final touchdown pass to Tyler Kroft with 15 seconds left in the game, making it his seventh career game-winning drive.
Former Wyoming Cowboy and current Cincinnati Bengals rookie linebacker, Logan Wilson, recorded his first career interception against the Philadelphia Eagles. The game ended in a 23-23 tie.
Current Atlanta Falcons running back and former Poke, Brian Hill, rushed for a 35-yard touchdown against the Chicago Bears, which would be his first rushing touchdown of the season. He finished with 58 rushing yards on the ground on nine carries. In the same game, former Poke and current Bears safety, Tashaun Gipson caught the game-sealing interception leading to Chicago’s 30-26 win. He finished with six total tackles (four solo).
In the game of the week, former Wyoming and current Seattle Seahawks tight end, Jacob Hollister, caught one pass for a one yard touchdown and a two-point conversion to help the Seahawks beat the Dallas Cowboys, 38-31. This would be his first touchdown of the season.
