CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming Highway Patrol says a motorcycle rider lead troopers on a high speed chase through Platte and Converse counties Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers say it started around 1 PM when they got a complaint about a white motorcycle heading north at more than 100 MPH north of Wheatland. When troopers spotted the rider, they say the bike was going around 120 MPH. When troopers gave chase, the speed was upped to 140 MPH. Eventually, however, the bike ran out of gas, allowing troopers to catch up and arrest the driver.

Brandon Barmettler is in custody, charged for alleged felony possession of meth and traffic violations including speeding and fleeing/eluding.
