FREMONT COUNTY, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Today is National Voter Registration day, so it’s a good time to check your registration if you’ve changed your name or your address recently. Those have to be corrected before you request an absentee ballot.

Fremont County Clerk Julie Freese said that the number of registered voters is about the same as the last presidential election. In 2016, the number of people registered to vote in Fremont County was 17,241 by election day and today the number sits at 16,905 registered in Fremont county.

“This being the National Registration Day would be a great time to do that. To come in, or call us, just check on your registration make sure you’re set up to go. If you want to go to the polls, we do have vote centers. Again they worked very well at the primary and I think people will be excited to know you can vote at any one of our eight vote centers, and we hope to see you in some shape or form voting in Fremont county this election,” noted Freese.

In Fremont County you can correct any changes to your registration by going to any town or city clerk office, or the county courthouse in Lander.
