CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Racers run across the finish line at Casper College early Sunday morning. Runners or walkers could choose what they wanted to do.

“It was awesome the run that they put on how they had a 5K, 10K and half marathon option,” said Brooke Rochelle, a runner.

The Casper College website said the half marathon runners could run downhill or up to Lookout Point. The length didn’t matter to Rochelle she said she ran this race just for fun.

“We try and get outside a little bit in the summertime to run. We didn’t train for this we got outside and did it,” Rochelle said.

Emma Litke, another runner, said she loves the running community.

“It’s really nice just to meet people while you’re racing. I like to talk to people when I run,” Litke said.

The challenge of this race keeps these runners coming back.

“Looking at every mile I go to and just challenging myself to go to the next mile it just a huge accomplishment when I finish. I love to finish strong,” Rochelle said.

The T-Birk Trek was hosted by the Casper College Alumni Association.
