Cheyenne Central staying poise through early season success
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -In the first few weeks of the high school football season, you’ve seen nail biters and explosive action.
Two Teams sit at a perfect 3-0, who factored into the state playoff picture just last year.
“The team has come together in those moments, and not letting adversity keep us back. We’ve been able to fight through and have intensity,”
Thus far, The Central Indians came away victorious in 2 road victories beating Natrona County Mustangs and the Sheridan Broncs last week in what seemed to be a clash of the big boys early on.
“That last three drives in the 4th quarter we had a connection where we decided we have to do this now, this the best time to glue together to get the win.” Central Indians, Quarterback Andrew Cummins, said.
After talking with Coach Mike Apodocca, he says he wants to get his guys familiar with playing in big games no matter what week it is, and they’ll get that chance this week when they take on Thunder Basin to see who’s 0 has to go. Both teams appear equally talented across the board, making the stakes even higher for the number one spot in the Class 4A Boys Football standings.
