CHEYENNE, Wyo. (PRESS RELEASE) - Roy Anderson, the Texas resident reported by Dateline NBC last week as last seen in Laramie in early August has returned home.

Mr. Anderson was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing person after Laramie Police received a call about unclaimed luggage at the Laramie Airport on August 12th. Airport representatives reported that the luggage had been unclaimed for 10 days. Laramie Police were unable to locate Mr. Anderson and an initial investigation indicated that Mr. Anderson had travelled to Denver.

After the initial investigation, Laramie Police Officers and Investigators worked with agencies in Colorado and Texas to determine Mr. Anderson’s location and welfare. These agencies confirmed that Mr. Anderson was in the Denver area and interacted several times with public safety agencies while in Colorado. The records indicated that Mr. Anderson did not need and was not interested in assistance from these agencies.

On Sunday, September 8, the lead officer in the case in Laramie received word from the Harker Heights, TX Police Department that Roy Anderson had returned home. His name has been removed from NCIC and he is no longer considered missing.
