NATRONA COUNTY, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A wildfire near the Garden Creek area has forced Natrona County Emergency Management to evacuate residents and businesses near Garden Creek Falls and Rotary Park according to a post on Emergency Management’s Facebook page.

The post said people need to travel away from Casper Mountain. People evacuating should not delay leaving to gather belongings or protect their property.

Emergency Management also asks people not to call 911 unless they are in danger.

Casper Police have blocked traffic on Casper Mountain Road south of 59th Street.

Around 8:30 p.m., Natrona County Emergency Management announced on its Faceboook page it was lifting the evacuation and allowing only residents back into the evacuated areas. It added Rocky Mountain Power was working to restore power to the affected areas.
