Gary’s Rojo O Verde has upgraded their food truck, hopes for continued expansion of business
FREMONT COUNTY, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
This local food truck setup has upgraded and now Gary’s Rojo O Verde can be found in their brightly colored bus all around Fremont County.
This man and his food truck has brought New Mexico green chile culture to Fremont County. He now has upgraded to a larger food truck and is available throughout the week in three areas in the county.
Owner Gary Wager noted, “My inspiration really was just the fact that there’s a lack of green chile culture. In New Mexico where we’re from, we have fiestas. We have festivals of all sorts just for green chile. And as I lived up here, eventually I just got hungry, so I had to learn how to make my own food. People were just like, ’You should sell this!’ "
Enough people suggested he should start a business, and the desire to bring that culture here, prevailed, and he started his business selling homemade tortillas and green chile from New Mexico.
“Everything comes from my Lord and Savior, that’s just the way it is. I’ve been doing this every day. It’s like any other business, you get up, you get out. And before you get up, you go ahead and say a prayer, just that this is going to go ahead and sell, and your fans are going to keep coming back,” emphasized Wager.
Gary said his loyal fan-base and customer support help keep him going, and that was evident when I saw people line up in droves even before he was ready to open.
“With my business. it has actually been nothing but a blessing, people trying to get out, trying to find fast food without being able to sit down, it’s worked out really well for myself and many other food truckers as well,” stated Wager.
Gary hopes to continue growing his business, saving up for a possible fleet of food trucks in his future, taking that green chile culture on the road.
