CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Smart Sports Medicine in Cheyenne, has partnered with other businesses (Cheyenne Dog Food Company, Frontier Trampoline Park, UniWyo Federal Credit Union, The Desperado Depot, 307 Nutrition Company) for their ‘Operation Backpack’ event. They’ll provide free backpacks and other school supplies to students K-12.

“With the whole Covid thing going on, there’s a lot of parents that can’t keep their kids home to do virtual learning and stuff like that and we just kind of wanted to do something to bring the community together,” Manager of Smart Sports, Chay Yap said.

“It’s helpful for these families that can’t afford a lot of these things right now, it’s a tough time for them and hopefully we can get these kids back to school, and hopefully some of the supplies will help,” Owner of Smart Sports, Skip Ross said.

The event will happen on Saturday, August 22 at Smart Sports Medicine off of Yellowstone Rd. in Cheyenne from 8:00am-4:00pm. The deadline to register is on Friday, August 21. For information on how to register, stop by the location or call: (307) 632-7677.
