RIVERTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Event and sales marketer for Holiday Inn Riverton, Devin King, said the staff have become very well trained to have large volumes of people while still employing the necessary regulations.

They held a 100 person wedding reception last Saturday, which was their largest event since the pandemic, where they made use of a nearly contact less buffet option.

He said that people in Wyoming are ready for a sense of normalcy and are rescheduling the events they had put off.

The restaurant inside, QT’s, is open for takeout and will reopen for dine-in services next Monday the 17th. Guests are now able to enjoy the pool, and the lounge is open to guests and the public.

Officials remain positive about future event bookings, and said there is a GOP delegate meeting happening at the end of the month.

In regard to the cancelled events and booking current events, King said, “It’s a mindset too I think. I’ve got a lot of sales background, and I’m also a super optimist too, so I continue to book events. The differences are major. Beforehand, you had no regulations, obviously.”

Officials said the Holiday Inn can book events with up to 200 people and are willing to accommodate people’s individual needs.
