Taco John’s Pledges to Donate $30,000 to The Friends of Youth Alternatives Endowment

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - Taco John’s is showing its support for local youth and families with a three-year commitment to donate $10,000 annually to The Friends of Youth Alternatives Endowment, which supports The Office of Youth Alternatives.

Youth Alternatives offers family counseling, court services, crisis intervention, mentoring, after-school programming, kinship advocacy and support groups to assist families and individuals with a variety of mental, emotional and behavioral needs. Each year, Youth Alternatives serves over 1,200 youth and families in the Cheyenne area through special partnerships with Laramie County School District 1, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, United Way of Laramie County, Senior Corps, Laramie County, The State of Wyoming Department of Family Services,  Cheyenne Police Department, the Laramie County Sherriff’s Department Juvenile Crisis Center, Halladay Motors, Maurice Brown, Grace for 2 Bothers and the Laramie County Community Joint Services Juvenile Powers Board. By 2022, Taco John’s will have donated $30,000 to The Friends of Youth Alternatives Endowment. 

On Thursday, Aug. 6 at 1:30 p.m., Taco John’s will present its first $10,000 check to The Friends of Youth Alternative Endowment. At the check donation ceremony, CEO of Taco John’s International Jim Creel and Mayor of Cheyenne Marian Orr will recognize Youth Alternatives’ impact in the local community. Director of Youth Alternatives Jay Sullivan will speak on behalf of his organization.

WHAT:          Taco John’s will present a check of $10,000 to The Friends of Youth Alternative Endowment. Representatives from Taco John’s and Youth Alternatives, as well as the Mayor of Cheyenne, will speak at the event.

WHEN:          Thursday, Aug. 6 from 1:30-2:10 p.m. MST.

WHERE:       Youth Alternatives’ office, located at 1328 Talbot Court.
