RIVERTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

Fremont County resident and ‘Mama Dias’ food truck owner Mariea Thompson has been open for business since April 2018. And most recently she’d like to thank the residents of Riverton for their support. She said she has very loyal customers who purchase her breakfast and lunch fare daily.

A Dubios resident who is originally from New Jersey comes almost weekly to enjoy a Philly sandwich that she said is just like they make them in New Jersey.

Thompson grinds her own meat for homemade burgers and cooks all food fresh to order. She said she offers different specials to showcase various flavors that she’s well versed in preparing such as barbacoa burritos, California burgers, and green chili.

In addition to her delicious specials, ’Mama Dias’ is well known for their homemade biscuits and gravy, and made to order Philly sandwiches.

Thompson said she tries her best to cater to people with dietary restrictions such as dairy free and ketogenic diets.

When asked about her inspiration to start ‘Mama Dias,‘ Thompson noted, “I stayed at home for quite awhile and I cooked all the time and then I went to work for other people and I decided that I’m almost 40 and I needed to start my own business and work for myself, and hopefully be able to support my family, and contribute to the community.”

Mama Dias is located at 605 South Federal Blvd. in front of Federal Auto Recycling and is open Tuesday-Friday from 7:30-2.
