CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - This week-- the U.S. Census Bureau said in a release that it will start sending emails to households in areas where the response rate is less than 50 percent.

Jennifer Hillmann, a U.S. Census Bureau media specialist said they are getting these emails from the 2010 Census, other Census surveys state and federal programs.

People who have already responded might also get an email. The release adds the email that it will be coming from is 2020census@subscriptions.census.gov. Recipients have the option of getting more emails from them.

This is one last push by the U.S. Census for everyone to respond by phone, online, or mail.

“We know a lot of people in Wyoming want their privacy and they would prefer to not have someone knocking on their door,” Hillmann said.
