NCSD provides more information about virtual learning
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Natrona County School District released more information about its a virtual learning program for fall. Tanya Southerland, the public relations officer, said this program is different from the program in the spring.
“It is open and available to any families who choose this opportunity for the health and safety needs of their family,” Southerland said.
She added that in-person and virtual learning are the two options. There can’t be a combination of both. However, students can still be involved in activities.
“There are some athletes and activity opportunities that you would be able to enroll your child in at their home school,” Southerland said.
The district will also be providing technology for families who need it.
“They would be required to follow the same technology expectations and rules around district technology. There is also the digital citizenship part of that the students would be completed,” Southerland said.
She adds the expectations of this program will be similar to students in the schools. Their expectations are for things like time and attendance.
