CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - If you’ve been to Wyoming Food For Thought Project’s Summer Market, you may have noticed a new booth. The ladies who run it want Natrona County’s first responders to know how much the community appreciates them.

It started with selling wristbands that say “I Support Our First Responders,” and has now led to a group page with 400 members.

“Our goal is for every single first responder to get a personalized basket from the community,” said Brenda Hurless.

The group is called Thank A First Responder-Natrona County. The ladies who organized it range from mothers of law enforcement to former law enforcement.

“They come to their job every day not knowing what the situation is going to be. So we want to let them know that it doesn’t matter to us what their day is like, we still want them to remember that they are appreciated for everything they do,” said Dianne Reidt.

Reidt said this is not a short term project and they want to show every first responder that what they do, is important.

The group is donation based and also has an amazon wish list. You can find the group here.
