EVANSVILLE, Wyo. (Release) - The City of Casper notified the Town of Evansville of the scheduled opening of the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) September 1st, 2020. The MRF allows the solid waste facility to separate co-mingled recyclables, reduce contamination in recyclables, and prepare them for shipment to recyclers. Opening the facility will have costs, and The City of Casper is asking outlying communities to contribute by paying a pickup and processing fee for their recycling depots.

On July 13th the topic was discussed by the Town Council. Council decided to present a survey (find the survey here: https://arcg.is/1fXLXD) to residents to gauge interest and facilitate input on the additional cost and items they would like to see recycled.

Additional Information: Costs seen below are based upon the items recycled and frequency of pickup. Each option provides at a minimum of once a week pickup of the recycling as well as the trash container at the depot. Please note in comments if you like a particular option, but would like to change the items recycled in that option.
