CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Cheyenne Post 6 Hawks saved their season and earned a spot in the state tournament by beating the Wheatland Lobos, 7-6. Both teams had six hits on the afternoon.

The game was tied at four heading into the bottom of the 5th inning. Cheyenne’s Kaleb Romero hit a single, which resulted in a run, giving the Hawks a one run lead.

Post 6 earns the fourth seed out of the Eastern Conference in the state tournament. The Sixers will be in action on Saturday, August 1 in Powell, Wyoming.
