Missing Frontier Days Midway eats
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Many fairs and rodeos are taking place on a smaller scale. Some miss the food stands of the midway this year. However, the mere taste of elephant ears, taco salads, and all that other rodeo food is still around while there's no Cheyenne Frontier days.
One specific food stand known for its good food and carnival custards is looking to salvage what’s left of the good weather and bring some happiness to the community.
The rodeo food truck owners said the property owners of the lot on Pershing blvd and Ridge Rd. was able to lend a helping hand as he said, allowing them to set up shop rent-free.
For the time being, this the sole food stand near the Frontier Days fairgrounds. Given the current climate, Social distancing is being encouraged, so it's mostly "grab and go" or curbside pickup.
Ben Bush says this satisfies the midway’s cravings, but it also provides a much needed economic boost for his family’s concession stand.
“Since so many things remain shut down, it’s great to find a way still give people some Indian food to have just a little taste of Frontier Days usually is.”
