A look at Casper Comic-Con health measures
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Casper Comic-Con will look a little different this year. The event, which is Saturday and Sunday at the Casper Events Center, will be held with some health restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Events Center General Manager Brad Murphy said staff and vendors will be wearing masks throughout the weekend. Guests are not required to cover their faces.
Booths will also be farther apart and the event will be using the arena’s concourse area and floor.
There will also be social distancing markers on the ground and hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.
Drinks will only be served in bottles and there won’t be self-serve condiment stations.
Despite these changes, Murphy said it’s a relief to finally get activity back in the building, which hasn’t had an indoor event since March 12.
“We are ready to get back to business. We’re ready to open and really showcase our building like we always do during normal times that we’re open and operating,” he said.
Comic-Con will be held in three sessions, two Saturday and one Sunday. Capacity is limited to 500 per session. Tickets are still available at sinclairtix.com or the SinclairTix Box Office. They cost $15 per session or $40 for a weekend pass.
