CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A traveling memorial honoring American soldiers who died after 9/11 will be in Casper next week.

The Remembering Our Fallen Tribute Towers will be at Casper College from July 27 through Aug. 4. They’ll be located in a parking lot across from the Gateway building.

“There are 36 10-foot towers and on these towers are pictures and descriptions and stories of all of those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms,” Casper College Veterans and International Students Coordinator Nicholas Whipps said.

They’ll be open 24 hours for anyone to come and see.

The towers will be escorted to Casper Sunday and there will be an official opening ceremony Monday. Speakers will include Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon.

The towers were supposed to come to Casper College in April. The event was rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
