Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame Class of 2020 ceremony postponed
"The 2020 Inductees will have their moment to shine, and therefore we will be foregoing a class of 2021 inductees."
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - In the Capital City, for the first time in almost 20 years. Cheyenne Frontier Days, Old West Museum, announces the postponement of Frontiers Days Hall of Fame Class of 2020.
Seven inductees, six people, and one horse among those on the Hall of Fame ballot in 2021. In the past, the inductees ride front and center in the Grand Entry Parade.
The Museum and CFD Hall of Fame Committee says it “is taking COVID-19 seriously, and therefore acting on all necessary health and safety precautions in an attempt to protect all involved in this premature celebration. Due to the limitations on event capacities and travel restrictions, we decided it would be best to postpone the event until next year when everyone can gather together to celebrate our Inductees with the fanfare of Cheyenne Frontier Days™ that they deserve.”
The Executive Director of said it would not be a Hall of Fame class in 2021, to ensure the inductees of 2020 gets their just due.
Tentatively, the ceremony will be for September 3, 2021.
