Youth Bull Riding Series
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After 8 seconds, the bull losses adrenaline, and it fatigues as their bucking ability decreases. The mark needed to advance in the series takes strength and resilience when the bull is bucking for dear life.
The Youth Bull Riding Series is happening this weekend at the Archer Complex. The Bull Riders ranged between the ages of 7-13 years old. From PeeWee to Senior bull riders these cowboys are up for the challenge.
Brenson Batrlett, 13-year old, is heading to Abilene, Texas, for Nationals, and he is prepping to grab the bull by the horns.
“You go into the ride as if you are the baddest kid out there and you’re going to spur his ribs in every time. If you don’t have that mindset then you’re going to get thrown in the dirt.”
The young steer riders competed for the love of the sport Saturday afternoon.
“It’s just another rodeo, it’s not really for the fame or money. I do this rodeo because it’s what I love and doing it because you love it.”
