Honoring an Umpire and a dear friend
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
For many years Cheyenne parks and recreation provides leagues for adults to play ball. When the softball leagues lost one of their own, Cheyenne Parks and recreation created a tournament in his remembrance.
On most weekends, the league takes the diamond for fun and the love of the game. Today’s tournament means much more to these ballplayers.
Tyler Feezer organized the tournament what it’s like to put together a match that honors the Severosky’s impact on Cheyenne’s softball.
We just wanted to play ball in remembrance of him, and get a lot of the softball community. Recently his wife passed away too, so this year has a double meaning, so we have both their kids coming out here for the ceremonial first pitch to start the tournament off.”
